hey guys, how are you all goin? just found this website and i thought it might be usefull to pick up a few tips u guys seem to know what your all talking about. I myself have a 1978 18R-C RA40 celica an i live in sydney australia. Just wanted to know if you guys had any recomendations on how to improve the air flow eg via a cold air intake setup or is it not worth it, i have some money but being a student i'm a bit tightarsed about spending it all. any comments would be greatly appreciated, cheers

Traffic isn't here because everyone points to the other forums. But, they have a much larger head start on content, so it is ok.

so recently i got the 18-rc (came with my 74 corona) my impressions of the 18-rc are:

built like a tank- cast iron block n head

compareable to a 20r in power

haveing the intake and exhaust on the same side is dumb

the swap to the rg head isnt as easy as it sounds (the only parts from the rc you use is the block and oil pan Sad )

you do have options tho...

no fab bolt in swap to the 20r, 18rg and the 22r with a lil fabing

and i think the 18rc is a lil easyer to work on then the 20r jus a lil tho
