All these posts and no one asks how to lift a celica. It's a shame. I am a big guy, had lowered cars in the past. Now I hate getting into and out of them. My 81 celica has been a dream car for quite sometime. Now that I have one I hate getting into and out of it. I had to cut the bottom half of the steering wheel off just so I could shift Smile It looks real custom in a redneck sorta way.

The car looks nice and is fun to drive but we want it lifted so we can camp on the cheap side (my jeep gets 14mpg). We want to be able to tow a little utility (Bi-Mart special) trailer with our gear in it. BTW does anyone make a hitch for these? Probably only need 100 pound tongue weight.

no one asked how to lift a celica...

doesnt mean it hasnt been done...

by me Twisted Evil

early ford aerostar springs in the back, with reclocked shock mounts. 4in spacer +hard mount for the struts

roughly 4in lift, able to clear 29in tires in the back

lifting a Celica? instead of going through all that hassle and possibly destroying a great car, why not just invest the money into a nice older SR5 truck? you will still get good gas mileage, be able to clear most types of terrain, and will save yourself from buying a trailer.

or maybe im just being illogical. Rolling Eyes

it isnt distroyed.

its well loved and broken regularly.

i have a street one as well.

this is the culmination of growing up with A-team, dukes of hazzard, and Mcguyver on the TV. plus i like to run down logging roads too fast and a stock height celica just doesnt have the suspension travel to deal with potholes the size of a VW.
